JPJ Malaysia is beginning the process of standardization of number plates Starting with Fully Electric Vehicles (FEVs). All FEVs must be fitted with special registration plates embedded with RFID technology. This change, which applies to all newly registered FEVs, aims to standardise number plates and significantly enhance road safety.
The new RFID-equipped ePlates are designed to improve night visibility, reduce vehicle theft, and enable swift identification of FEVs for safety and enforcement purposes.
The JPJePlate App facilitates compliance with the new requirements by allowing you to:
A) Request & Order: Easily request and order RFID-embedded ePlates.
B) Submit Fitment Proof: Upload and submit Proof of Fitment to confirm correct installation.
C) Ensure Compliance: Supporting future integration systems.
